Look At This MONSTER!
Great fishing George!
Great Eating!
Picture submitted by Jeff Walters. Jeff enjoyes catching these, but is now interested in going after bigger fish. He is river fishing and learning the ins and outs of fishing for big fish. Does anyone have some advice for him?
This size channel catfish is some of the best eating you can get, in my opinion. Pictures like this really give me fishing fever (editor).
QUESTION: Submitted by Richard Wiseman (Berry NSW) I won't go into great detail at this stage other than to ask. Are cat fish able to rip out metre long ribbon weed in a lake which then floats to the surface. I am aware that catfish seem to like to make a wide 'bed' area. I am experiencing large and I mean large amounts of ribbon weed floating to the surface in piles, last two days filled my row boat. Roots and all. Could it be catfish, which I have , silver perch which I have or eels which I have. IT is all very strange. I collect the ribbon weed in the boat and then put it around our plants and trees. But would really like to know who the culprit is!!
